SmartFuel Van using SmartPlugs

SmartPlugs make it possible to convert either gasoline or Diesel engines to easily start and run on 130 proof ethanol (35% water 65% ethanol or methanol)

This video is of a news crew on board the University of Idaho’s Van.

Notice there is no high voltage coil or cap or or spark plug leads on the distributor. You can see the rotor spinning, but it is not being used to distribute the spark – because SmartPlugs need no spark or high voltage to run the engine.

SmartPlugs are a internationally patented, precision timed catalytic ignition (catalytic glow plug) No distributor, points, Coil or high voltage wires are needed. Only 12-18 DC volts need to be applied to the tops of the SmartPlugs.

The Van makes more power and gets the same miles to the gallon(dry ethanol basis) on 130 proof ethanol as it did on gasoline. No NOx is produced during combustion due to the low flame temperature of dilute ethanol mixtures. The catalytic ignition enables complete combustion of this cool burning fuel.

Roller chain drive Plasma table

My first CNC plasma cutter/profile cutter that can cut up to 3/4″ plate and 7/8″ steel plate with an edge start.
It uses a Hypertherm 1250 with up to 80 amps of cutting performance. These are supposed to be the best in the business and at a price of $5600 it had better be. I got a very good discount off the recommended price here in Australia and I have seen them go for as much as $8000. This is just for the actual plasma cutter machine not the whole table setup.
I am still having a few issues with the torch height controller not following the contour properly but I should get that all sorted out in a few weeks when the weather warms up enough for me to sit outside twiddling the buttons to get it right.

How good is my English YOU BE THE JUDGE!?

The day of reckoning opens with a bang, a sudden fight for freedom. A stupendous fish, god-like in it’s tactical prowess, to which it’s mediocre rivals seek, begins its fateful decent into hell. The fish’s inattentive journey comes to a deathly halt when an astronomically sized object, from above, comes straight for him, like a speeding bullet with no target, trampling the elegant sea grass and unearthing ancient realms. Cracking the usually peaceful sea floor and igniting the ocean into a thousand flames with a thousand ear-splitting thuds; echoing for miles like a wild dance floor. The fish takes notice of this inanimate, misplaced object which is of the deepest dye one has ever seen and suffocated by thick blankets of dark green slime mixed in with hate-filled sea weed growing with a vengeance like contracted hitmen of the seven seas. A powerful whining noise can be heard slowly steering its way towards the mystified fish. An abrupt and expeditious frayed string, connected to a surprisingly powerful motor, for its miniature size, pulls the feeble fish upwards rapidly with great force. Ripping and tearing through the soft lips of the poor ill-fated fish now in great pain and unforeseen danger. thrown onto the wet boat slipping and sliding until being rebound by the boats wooden edge, like an amateur ice skater. A deadly encounter ensues, a hopeless struggle for survival, defying the twisted fishery laws to the bitter end. Entangled in the coils; of a contaminated net that is in a deep state of disrepair in fault due to the nuclear waste waters that indulge on the powerless furniture of the sea; that stands resistive of the devils forces that are obligatory to the crush-proof regime of merciless nature. The Devil’s playground; home to the thousands of perplexing joy games, that spray misery into the lives of the unfortunate everyday. The competition fiercely fought above pays no attention to he devoured bodies of fish; showered carelessly into the ocean like littered garbage, with each passing day; with seeds of pitiful sin laying dormant, for millions of relentful years, growing in frustration, now calling to the giants above to stop the merciless savagery, but without a worthy voice. The fish’s fate: to feed the stomachs of greedy citizens, who care not for the captured at sea but the money that regulates their overflowing pockets.

I am 16 and English.

Please grade me as well in GCSE terms (A-C).

Will my grade be higher now since my high test scores?

IN History I had a D. Now since I have taken my exams, my history teacher said I got a 85% on it. Then I got another test back from this 9 weeks and i got an 84%. But my other grades haven’t been that good. But i am starting to do better in history. And usually grades depend on tests. Does this mean my grade will go up? Because i want a better grade.

Yes.

Tire Rack Tire Test – Raising the Bar: Testing New Ultra High Performance All-Season Tires

http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=HP5&url=/index.jsp
Tire companies always work to improve on successful designs. Many succeed, but not all. Continental hit a home run with the ContiExtremeContact Ultra High Performance All-Season tire but then challenged their design team to improve dry road handling and road manners without sacrificing winter traction. Their solution is the new ExtremeContact DWS.

Pirelli faced a similar challenge with the popular P Zero Nero M+S as they developed the P Zero Nero All Season.

Did Continental and Pirelli succeed in raising the bar? Watch the video to find out.
